The New Apanas Roast

We are so excited to announce the latest roast to join the Singh Beans roster: The Apanas Roast. This blend uses high quality beans from the Sabio Family Farm in Nicaragua. The beans are processed using the Natural method which provide it with a complex flavour including hints of berry, honey, and chocolate.

We decided to name this roast Apanas as it has a double meaning. One of the largest bodies of water in the Nicaragua is Lake Apanas. This is a direct nod to the origin on the coffee beans themselves. Lake Apanas is a man-made reservoir that produces most of the hydro-electricity in the region.

Apana (Apna) translated from Punjabi to English means '“Our Own”. This resonated with us as we feel this next blend showcases our own taste in coffee. We selected this coffee after trials and cupping sessions. We felt that this roast best encapsulated what Singh Beans was striving towards in terms of freshness and quality. We also hope that this roast helps us to continue to build our own community.
